We strive to practice what we preach, so we have incorporated the following sustainable initiatives into the firm:

• Approximately one half of the annual electricity is produced from an on-site PV array
• The office has well-insulated walls and roof, and triple pane operable windows, using approximately 50% compared to a code compliant building
• The office has a radiant floor heating system and an air-to-air heat exchanger
• All finishes are low-VOC
• We protect the indoor air quality with good ventilation, low toxic finsihes, and a green cleaning system including HEPA vacuum, non-toxic cleaning products and micro-fiber tools
• Our Employees telecommute at least three days per week
• We purchase EnergyStar qualified office equipment
• The office space features natural daylight with dimable overhead lights and task lighting
• Water efficiency measures include 1.0 gpm lavatory faucets, dual flush 0.8/1.6 gpf toilets, 2.0 gpm kitchen faucet, drip irrigation for native and adapted trees, shrubs and flowers and no lawn
• Zero stormwater runoff is accomplished by roof drains going to drywells, permeable driveway and parking areas, vegetated swales and planting beds
• Office paper is 100% post consumer recycled content
• All copiers and printers print double-sided to conserve paper
• We recycle cardboard, paper, magazines, newspaper, batteries and electronics
• We use teleconferences, email and web conferences to minimize business travel
• We annually purchase green tags to offset our 100% of our use of electricity, natural gas, automotive and airline travel.
