Importance of Specfications |

On any high performance project, especially those pursuing LEED or other green building rating systems, it's important to do a thorough review of the specifications to make sure those green goals are fully realized. We recently reviewed our longest spec ever... 2,835 pages for an Air Force Fitness Center! Whew!
We suggest making all LEED submittals clear by listing the credit number (like MR 4 Recycled Content) and requirements in each relevant spec section. We also use an electronic submittal process to reduce paper use and review time. It pays off with better quality projects and LEED performance.
