| GBCI LEED Review Changes |
8/2/2010 The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) has announced that they are taking more control over the review of LEED project documentation. This changes the review procedure GBCI set up in early 2009 due to a record of inconsistent reviews and service quality that frustrated many of our clients and teams. Happily, the GBCI has listened to the team concerns and has decided to take over LEED reviews in house. Find out more about this decision, which has not been announced formally, check out this link to GreenSource. Any projects that are registered in the LEED program from now on will be assigned to the GBCI and not a Certification Body. Previously registered projects will likely be working with their current CB through 2011, but we have noticed that some of our projects have already been reassigned to GBCI. We welcome this change to make all LEED reviews internal to GBCI, in fact we are breathing a sigh of relief that GBCI took this much needed step! |
